Your BASIC health plan options approved in most states now include:
“BASIC Benefit” Health — selected insurance plans approved in certain states and available year-round from Golden Rule that provide more Basic or limited coverage for hospital, physician and medical than full comprehensive coverage plans, so they cost less. Go to the orange enroll button.
These include:
-

- Fixed Benefit plans that pay a stated dollar amount to YOU for covered care you receive, regardless of the actual expense or payment made to your care provider by major medical plans (available in all states, EXCEPT CA, CT, DC, ID, KS, MA, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, SD, VT, or WA where they have not yet been approved), and
- Ancillary Benefit plans that provide added coverage in certain situations such as hospitalizations and accidents (widely available in most states).
Supplemental health — selected insurance plans from LifeSecure for critical illnesses, accidents and hospital expenses. Go to Supplemental tab.
Temporary or Short-Term Medical insurance plans available from many health carriers that provide only 3 months coverage, plus 1 month extension as allowed under federal rules. Some states prohibit these health plans as choices for their residents, including Illinois. Go to Personal Medical tab.
“Dental and Vision” — selected insurance plans available all year, no enrollment period restrictions. Go to the Dental & Vision Benefits tab.
